Jenny Simpson has worked at the University of Iowa, Iowa Technology Institute for the past 17 years as both a Merit and P&S staff. Her current role is Administrative Services Coordinator at ITI, formerly known as the Center for Computer-Aided Design. She is the assistant to the Director of ITI, Karim Abdel-Malek and Director of Finance and Operations, Lisa Lang. She assists in the budgeting and proposal process, as well as serves the ITI student’s and staff’s operational needs. She is the building coordinator for the Engineering Research Facility and has served in this position for over 4 years.

She is the College of Engineering organization rep and has served in this position for 1 year and is the newly elected budget officer for the UI Staff Council. She has served on the UI Staff Council Education committee and the UI Staff Council University Relations committee.

She is passionate about the University of Iowa and the many benefits it provides to the local communities. You can see her cheering on the Hawkeyes in practically every sport. She loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling to Colorado, and participating in any activity that takes place in the great outdoors.
