The University of Iowa strives to create and maintain a positive working environment for employees and students. However, the university also recognizes that it needs to constantly review and assess its successes and shortcomings in order to meet changing circumstances. This fall, there will be two surveys to help assess how employees feel about the campus environment and about working at Iowa.

Faculty and Staff Campus Climate Survey- September 21- October 2, 2020

This confidential survey asks about employee experience as part of the community and helps identify gaps and inform strategic plans.

A critical element is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

- It’s a cornerstone of our institution

- It is understood that there is much work to be done

- There is a desire to listen and learn from campus constituents

The survey will evaluate personal experience on campus, highlight beliefs and values related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and provide perception of the institutional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dialogue and action plan will follow.

Working at Iowa Survey

This confidential survey helps the university understand our community’s experience of work and how engaged employees are in the workplace.  Please note that there are 2 versions of the Working at Iowa survey; one version for Health Care staff (Working at Iowa; Powered by Press Ganey, open October 5-26), and another version for the rest of campus (open October 19 - 30).

Please take time to fill out BOTH the Climate Survey and the Working@Iowa survey and by doing so, you can help shape the UI employee experience.
