Joe has been employed by the University of Iowa since 2015. He is a Patient Representative in the Office of Patient Experience at the College of Dentistry. In his current role, he serves as a resource for patients, faculty, students, and staff to resolve patient management problems, complaints, and concerns. Joe manages steps in service recovery and resolution, acting as a liaison between patient and college. He Educates dental students in communicating with patients and dealing with difficult situations, health care barriers, intimate partner violence and social determinants. Prior to joining the College of Dentistry, he spent 5 years as a Revenue Cycle Representative in Patient Financial Services at UIHC. Joe and his wife Amy enjoy spending their time with family and friends, outdoor activities, and cheering on the Hawks. He is looking forward to representing the College of Dentistry and serving on Staff Council.
