Theodore A. (Ted) Potter

College of Law Organization Representative
Biography

Ted Potter has been a law librarian and legal research teacher at the UI College of Law since 2005. He enjoys the daily contact with law students, law faculty, library and law school colleagues, university colleagues, and the other patrons who need legal research assistance.

He views membership on Staff Council as an opportunity to meet staff from across campus, to interact with administrators who work with all of university staff, to learn more about the wider university and how its mission and values affect staff issues, and to serve the College of Law and its staff. Service includes investigating staff needs and working with the university to effectuate change, as well as volunteering time to serve the wider Iowa City community.

Ted is in his sixth year as a Staff Councilor and is the Organization Representative for the College of Law. He currently serves on the Bylaws and Communications Committees.

Outside of work, Ted enjoys books, music, and movies, participating in St. Andrew Presbyterian Church activities, playing tennis, and ballroom dancing to live music. If you have questions or suggestions, please contact Ted or any Staff Councilor. We’re your voice for a better UI.
