Sam Mitchell is a Senior Quality and Operational Improvement Engineer, in the office of the Chief Medical Officer. She is responsible for managing the health care based Executive Leadership Academy, the PARS/CORS programs, New Provider and New Resident orientations and overseeing the administrative elements of the Medical Director & Physician Value Officer programs. She has been an employee of UI Health Care since February 2015.

Sam joined Staff Council in December 2021 and serves as a Functional Representative for Administration; Audit, Compliance, Legal and Risk Management. She currently serves on the Communications, Executive, and Health Care committees and is the chair of the Elections Committee.

Sam received her BFA from James Madison University and MFA from the University of Iowa.
