Sam Mitchell is a Quality and Operational Improvement Engineer, in the office of the Chief Medical Officer. She is responsible for managing the health care based Executive Leadership Academy, the PARS/CORS programs, New Provider and New Resident orientations and overseeing the administrative elements of the Medical Director & Physician Value Officer programs. She has been an employee of UI Health Care since February 2015.

Sam joined Staff Council in December 2021 and serves as a Functional Representative for Administration; Audit, Compliance, Legal and Risk Management. She is also the chair of the 2022-2023 Communications Committee.

Sam received her BFA from James Madison University and MFA from the University of Iowa.
