Staff Councilors volunteered at the On Iowa! event welcoming incoming freshman and transfer students to the University. On Iowa! provides support with residence hall move-in as well as numerous events allowing new students to socialize and become familiar with the University and surrounding area. Councilors assisted with helping students move into Burge Residence Hall, register, and pick up swag including their t-shirt for the photo on the Pentacrest of this year’s incoming class. One Staff Councilor met a student from her old high school, and another volunteered with a student majoring in law. Thank you to all University of Iowa employees that were able to volunteer time to make this year’s program a success. It was a great year and Staff Council can’t wait to help again next year!
