Adam Walsh is the Associate Director of Sport Programs for University Recreational Services, serving undergraduate and graduate students who participate in intramurals, sport clubs, and other Recreational Services programs. On Staff Council, he represents the University function of Arts, Athletics, Hospitality, and Student Services. Adam has been part of the University for three years and has become an involved Staff Council member by serving on the Community Outreach and University Relations Committees.
When asked what Adam hopes to learn or achieve while serving on Staff Council, he responded, “I hope to gain a better understanding of all the great work that occurs outside my department while improving the employee experience for everyone at the University of Iowa through advocation and support.”

Q: What is something you do outside of work for fun?
A: I enjoy golf, dogs, mountains, and family…. not necessarily in that order.
Q: What is your favorite local spot or attraction?
A: Kinnick Stadium on a crisp fall Saturday.
Q: What would constitute a "perfect" day for you?
A: Breakfast at Bluebird, followed by tailgating and Hawkeye Football with my family and friends.
Q: If you could have any superhero, what would it be and why?
A: Flying, without a doubt, traffic is probably my least favorite thing in the world and to be able to get anywhere quickly would be awesome!
