Brenda Van Dee began her University of Iowa employment in 1992 as a part-time Dietary worker. As time went on, she developed skills in a variety of positions and has met a great deal of outstanding and interesting people. To this day, she loves the flexibility of tasks and encounters with a wide variety of people, internal and external. She currently supports Associate Dean, Boyd Knosp, for Carver College of Medicine Information Technology, a part of the Executive Dean’s Office. She also coordinates the Physician Scientist Training Pathway (PSTP), a multi-disciplinary program assisting residents and fellows in building and enhancing their research skills. Staff Council committee service past and present includes Executive Committee, Committee on Committees, University Health Care Committee, University Relations, Human Resources, and Elections. She has one son, a UNI alum, who currently teaches and coaches at a local junior-high school. Brenda’s hobbies are volunteering, long walks/jogging, and enjoying live music.
