In my role as a Staff Councilor, I serve as a representative for staff in Behavioral Health and Health Care fields and also serve on the University Relations Committee. In my daily job, I am the Violence Prevention Specialist at the Women's Resource and Action Center here at the University of Iowa. I, along with the University Violence Prevention Team, provide interactive violence prevention education to students, faculty, and staff. I am also the chair of the Men and Masculinities Coalition where we work to shift masculine norms to be better and safer for all. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and traveling.
