Biography

Sarah Ling is a Senior Application Developer in the Application Services division of Health Care Information Systems. She began her career at UIHC in 2004 as a patient account representative and has been in HCIS since 2007 as both an instructional designer and application developer. She received her BA in Psychology and MA in Performance and Training Technology from the University of Northern Iowa. This is Sarah’s first term on UI Staff Council and she is a member of the Healthcare committee.

Sarah lives in Tiffin with her husband and dog. Up until recently, all three of their children were attending the University of Iowa. Their oldest son is a graduate student in the Department of Biochemistry and their youngest son is an undergraduate in the Tippie College of Business. Their daughter has since graduated from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and began her new career working for the healthcare software company that Sarah supports in HCIS. Sarah has volunteered for several On Iowa! events as both a proud parent and staff member. In her free time, Sarah enjoys exploring the bike trails in eastern Iowa.
