Family Weekend 2025 (Division of Student Life) takes place Oct. 24–26, with nearly 1,500 families coming to campus to celebrate with their students.

Shop for Shelter is an annual donation drive supporting the DVIP & RVAP Emergency Shelter, a state-of-the-art facility opened in 2024 to meet the unique needs of victim-survivors seeking refuge.

BBQ Bash is the biggest yearly fundraiser for Shelter House; all proceeds go to supporting homeless persons in need of assistance in Johnson County. UISC Councilors showed their support by volunteering at this delicious event!

UISC Councilors volunteered their time to help welcome new first-year and transfer students to the university at On Iowa! 2025.

UISC Councilors operated phones, taking donations that help support the work of the Children's Miracle Network at the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital.

During the month of July, UI staff donated over 700 books and 1000 school supplies to our drive on behalf of United Way. Donations benefit children in Johnson and Washington county schools. Thank You!

Visitors to the Johnson County Fair enjoy a wide variety of entertainment, livestock shows, contests, food, fun, and games every July!

Taking over 14 blocks in the heart of Downtown Iowa City, the annual block party is an event for all ages and specifically targets the feel of a community block party. All of the programming, activities, and entertainment are completely free to the public.
