Join us in representing the over 9000 non-bargaining staff members at the University of Iowa and contribute to shaping a brighter future together.
Nominations are currently open for positions on the UI Staff Council. Here are some of the basic expectations for Staff Councilors:
- Advocate on behalf of your constituents
- Solicit information and opinions from your constituents and share them with the Council
- Keep your constituents informed about the activities of the Council
- Attend monthly meetings and actively participate in discussions
- Engage in at least one Council committee actively

Please be aware that staff successfully elected to serve on the Staff Council will commit to a 3-year term.
Function Representative positions are currently open for the following non-bargaining job function* group vacancies, beginning in June:
- Academic Support; Libraries (PC; PL) [2 open]
- Administration; Audit Compliance Legal & Risk (PA; PN) [2 open]
- Arts, Culture, & Entertainment; Student Services; Athletics; Hospitality (PE; PQ; PS; PY) [1 open]
- Behavioral Health; Health Care (PJ; PV) [4 open]
- Information Technology (PI) [3 open, with one being a 1-year term]
- Marketing, Comm & Outreach (PM) [1 open]
- Research; Scientific Services (PR; PH) [3 open]

Nominations for Function Representatives will remain open until April 1 at 5:00 p.m. and can be submitted using this simple online Nomination Form.
In addition to the Function Representative positions listed above, elections are being held for the following Organizational Representative positions:
