The work of University of Iowa faculty and staff is of critical importance to our nearby communities and state, to our economy, and our well-being. Our local elected leaders to the Iowa Senate and Iowa House of Representatives are our ambassadors, our advocates, and our guides to the people of Iowa. Elections are the crux of our democratic process. It is important for our UI community to be engaged in this process, to be heard, and to forge positive and productive relationships with our elected leaders. Please consider attending this event to help us achieves these goals.

The forum is scheduled as a hybrid event beginning at 6:30 p.m., October 6 in the Iowa Theater (formerly the Bijou Theater) on the main floor of the Iowa Memorial Union, 125 N Madison St. Parking is available in the ramp across the street.  Doors open at 6 p.m. Those seeking to participate virtually can join using this Zoom link: https://uiowa.zoom.us/j/96318719957.

Should the theater reach capacity, an overflow room will be available to watch and listen to the forum. Attendees and candidates (when not on stage) are encouraged to mix and mingle in the common area outside the theater to get to topics that didn’t make it in the formal portion of the event.

Please use this short Qualtrics survey to recommend topics or specific questions to be asked of the candidates.
