Emmett Oldham (they/them & he/him) works in UIHC Patient Financial Services as a Revenue Cycle Representation in the Registration Department.  He graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Medical Anthropology in 2017 and began working at UIHC in October 2019. 

Emmett is a non-binary individual and proud member of the LGBT+ community.  Emmett helped found the LGBT+ Sorority, Gamma Rho Lambda, on the University of Iowa campus and now volunteers on Gamma Rho Lambda’s National Council as an Alum at Large Delegate.  

Emmett’s primary reason for joining the UI Staff Council is to promote, create, and put into action the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives within all of the University of Iowa.  They joined the DEI committee in the HSSB building only a few weeks into starting at UIHC and they are also on the Staff Council’s Health Care Committee and DEI Committee as of October 2020.
