Abbie Beadle
As I continue to serve here at the University of Iowa, I seek opportunities to interact with dynamic colleagues in a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive environment. With that, I am thrilled to be a Functional Representative for Academic Support Services; Libraries Function.
I currently serve as an Advisor and Graduate Program Coordinator in the College of Nursing. Prior to this role, I worked in Residence Education and then Student Disability Services here at the University of Iowa. I attended the University of Iowa, receiving my bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, and then attended Clemson University for my master’s degree in Counselor Education and Student Affairs. My goal is to continue to grow my career here at the University of Iowa.
I approach my work with humility, curiosity, and a commitment to learning from diverse perspectives. As a staff council representative, I look forward to partnering with colleagues across campus to foster collaboration, amplify voices, and advocate for initiatives that strengthen our community. I believe that listening and learning are the foundation for meaningful progress, and I am excited to bring that philosophy to this role.
