Alex has lived, worked, and learned in Iowa City for almost his entire life. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Arts in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies, both from the University of Iowa, he has gained experience in various professional fields. These fields include juvenile detention, human trafficking recovery, secondary education, academic technology, and educational leadership. Alex now serves as an Electronic Health Record (EHR) Education/Implementation Specialist at University of Iowa Health Care, where he aims to improve EHR software training and utilization to enhance staff and patient experiences. Recently joining the UI Staff Council, Alex aims to leverage his diverse expertise to advance the university's mission of excellence in healthcare and community service while representing a wide range of stakeholders.
