I am the Assistant Director of Purchasing Operations and Business Analytics for the University's Purchasing Department. I started working for the purchasing department shortly after graduating from the Tippie college of business as a temp agent. I specialized in thinking outside of the box and coming up with unique solutions to make our workplace more efficient. I previously worked as a mechanic for several years where not a lot of things are by the book. I enjoy making the workplace feel like a second home for my employees/coworkers so Staff Council is a great place to help me accomplish that in a larger scale.

Outside of work I enjoy running/biking, really any type of outdoor exercise. I also enjoy baking and bringing baked goods to my coworkers and friends. I was a founding member of the Iowa City Baking Club for several years, which has unfortunately disbanded during the pandemic.
