Glen Fuhrmeister is the Collegiate Events Specialist for the Tippie College of Business. Glen came to Tippie in July of 2023 and has been executing all the events sponsored by the Dean's office. He also serves as a sounding board and provides support to the various departments and institutes of the Business College. Previously, he held positions at the University in the College of Pharmacy (2009-2010) and the Outpatient Pharmacy in UIHC (2007-2009). Prior to returning to higher education, Glen spent six years working at a private event company as the Floral Director designing weddings and corporate events. Glen is a native of Iowa but lived and worked in Washington DC in the Events and Meeting Industry for seven years at the University of Maryland, George Washington University, and at District Experience (a destination management company). While at George Washington University, Glen earned his Master's in Tourism Administration (Events and Meeting Management focus). Outside of work, Glen is a certified yoga instructor, teaching at Heat Yoga in North Liberty, and spends as much time as possible outside and traveling.
