Biography

Jacqueline (Jackie) L. Kleppe is the director of the Outreach and Engagement division of Marketing and Communications for University of Iowa (UI) Health Care. In that role, she provides vision, leadership and strategy to a team that leads relationship-based efforts towards referring providers, employers, medicine alumni, community leaders and students. She provides leadership to community sponsorships, strategic partnerships and community education programs that include K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Education and leads the efforts in collecting and reporting the statewide impact of all UI Health Care outreach and engagement.

Kleppe has been with the University of Iowa  more than 20 years, spending her first eight years in the UI Undergraduate Office of Admissions before moving to UI Health Care.

Kleppe has been active across campus in several UI committees including the RAGBRAI committee, Iowa State Fair Committee, UI Theme Semester advisory board, and is former chair of the UI Family Issues Charter Committee. She has been involved with the Awards, Communications and Health Care sub-committees of the UI Staff Council. She also has instructed organizational effectiveness and student supervisor classes during her tenure at Iowa.

Kleppe is a proud UI alumna who loves spending time watching her sons Tate and Chase in sports and music activities, staying active and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
