Biography

Mihaela Bojin is an Associate Director at the University of Iowa Research Foundation (UIRF).  UIRF protects and commercializes technologies developed at the University of Iowa.  Mihaela has been at the UIRF since 2013, and started her second term on Staff Council in 2020 as a function representative (Research & Scientific Services).  She is serving this year as a co-chair of the University Relations Committee, and a member of the Human Resources (HR) committee.  In previous years she also served in various roles on the Executive, Committee on Committees, and Communications Committees.  Mihaela is also part of the UI Conflict of Interest in Research, and the UI Research Council Committees.

Mihaela is grateful for the opportunity to work with colleagues across campus on issues important to all staff members, and she is determined to be an effective advocate on behalf of her peers.

Mihaela holds a PhD in Chemistry from Cornell University, is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP), and a registered patent agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Mihaela lives in Coralville with her husband (UI faculty), two daughters, a cat, and a dog.
