Biography

Robert Butler [he/him] is a Senior IT Support Consultant with Information Technology Services' Learning Spaces Technology group supporting campus learning spaces.

In his nearly twenty-years at The University of Iowa, Robert has collaborated with colleagues in Merit, P&S, Graduate Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Faculty capacities at Printing Services, the College of Education, the School of Art & Art History, the College of Public Health, and the Division of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. In his nearly thirty years in Iowa, Robert has worked for all three Regents Universities in various capacities.

This is Robert’s first term on the UI Staff Council as the ITS Organizational Representative advocating on behalf of ITS staff and collaborating with UI Staff Councilors in support of the University's mission. Robert currently serves on the council's DEI Committee, Education Committee, and the Committee on Committees. Robert also serves on The University of Iowa's Council for Disability Awareness, the Office of Teaching, Learning, & Technology Operations team, and the University Classroom Technology Core Team while participating with the UI ITADmins Community and the UI Support Community for Instructional Technology.
