Santhana Velupillai
Santhana works as the Director of UI Central Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Research Center located at the Department of Chemistry since 2004. The scope of the position spans a wide range of responsibilities including research, education, grant writing, training/support, and administration. Santhana has successful federal and University grants, served as NSF panel reviewer, and published more than 50 research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Santhana lives in North Liberty with his wife. He has two daughters, both grew up in this area, attended Iowa City schools, University of Iowa College of Engineering and Carver School of Medicine. As a staff council member, I intend to work on university wide staff challenges and their solutions.
