Sara Sullivan

Biography

Sara CW Sullivan is the Senior Associate Registrar, Strategic Initiatives and has served the Office of the Registrar (RO) since May 2015. Prior to working in the RO, she worked for Upward Bound and the Iowa public school system as a middle grades math and science teacher and swimming coach. Sara holds an undergraduate degree (BA, Elementary Education major) from the University of Iowa, her master’s degree (MEd, Higher Education Leadership) from Upper Iowa University, and her doctoral degree (EdD, Higher Education Leadership) from Maryville University.

External to the UI, Sara is heavily involved in organizations supporting the Registrar profession including the Upper Midwest Association for Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (UMACRAO), the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), and most recently, the AAU Registrars’ Leadership and Evolution Development (LEAD) Group. Outside of work Sara enjoys staying active and playing slow pitch softball, reading, knitting, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and visiting her home away from home.  This is her first term on Staff Council.
