Earlier this month, members of Staff Council’s University Relations Committee were joined by other Staff Councilors to support the University of Iowa during Hawkeye Caucus Day (April 3rd) at the State Capitol in Des Moines. Hawkeye Caucus Day gives the colleges and organizations across campus an opportunity to exhibit the important work that the University of Iowa is involved and as well as show our Hawkeye pride.
Staff Councilors spent the day engaging with Legislatures, staff, and visitors by promoting the University of Iowa values. University representatives shared student success stories, current research efforts, and enhancements in education. Before ending the day, Councilors were invited for a tour of the Senate floor and subcommittee areas by Senator Dawn Driscoll (District 46).
