Science Thursdays is an exciting, weekly event hosted by the Carver College of Medicine held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM from May to September in the courtyard between the Medical Education Research Facility (MERF). Designed to celebrate scientific discovery, this event fosters engagement with the broader community, offering an opportunity for faculty, staff, students and the public to learn about science in a fun and interactive environment.

Attendees can expect to enjoy a variety of food vendors, offering a wide range of delicious options. While the food trucks may vary each week, past vendors have included favorites like Blazing Hibachi, Bollywood Grill, El Gringo Loco, Keeping Up With The Jones's, Maggie's Farm Wood-Fired Pizza, and many more. There’s also live music, adding to the festive, community-focused atmosphere.

Whether you're a student, faculty member, or member of the general public, Science Thursdays provides a unique chance to engage with and celebrate the culture of discovery at the University of Iowa. The event encourages networking, collaboration, and fun, all while making science accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
