Staff-Council-Volunteering-Highlights-Oct25.jpg
August Volunteer of the Month helping United Way’s Ready, Set, School drive.

Staff Council members have been hard at work giving back to the university and community, and August was a standout month for volunteering.

Congratulations to Laura Croteau-Lopez, our August Volunteer of the Month, who dedicated 8.5 hours across three volunteer events. Her efforts embody the spirit of service and community engagement that Staff Council values.

In total, staff volunteers logged 68 hours in August—a new monthly record for Staff Council. This milestone highlights the growing enthusiasm for service, and the impact staff can make when working together.

This fall, Staff Council introduced a fun traveling trophy to further recognize our Volunteer of the Month. Looking ahead, we will soon recognize the Staff Councilors with the most volunteer hours and attendance at the most events each month, and each will be presented with a coordinating trophy. This fun addition will help celebrate ongoing commitment and inspire even greater participation.
