Staff Council hosted blood drives on January 27 and 28 with the DeGowin Blood Center on the east and west sides of campus. We collected 37 units from both drives and every donation helps patients at Iowa Health Care!

Each week more than 450 blood products are transfused at the hospital. Cancer patients, surgical patients, premature infants, people being treated for accident and trauma, recipients of marrow and organ transplants, and patients with diseases such as sickle cell anemia and hemophilia all depend on donated blood as part of their care.
