Voting will occur April 2, 2026, through April 16, 2026, and three year terms will begin on June 1, 2026.
Staff Council is a shared governance body that represents the 9000+ non-bargaining Professional and Scientific staff at the University of Iowa. Staff Council is a terrific opportunity to:
- Advocate on behalf of your constituents by soliciting information and opinions from your constituents to share with the council.
- Inform your constituents of developments around campus as well as the activities of the Staff Council.
- Attend monthly meetings and participate in discussions.
- Actively participate in at least one Staff Council committee.
- Represent the University in the surrounding community by volunteering at various community events.
- Build relationships with employees from different areas of the University.
