Staff Council Spotlight: Rebecca Tritten
Function Representative, Administration; Audit, Compliance, Legal & Risk
Meet Rebecca ‘Becca’ Tritten, Senior Director of Administration in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), who brings dedication, curiosity, and a deep commitment to staff engagement to her role on Staff Council.
Becca has been part of the University of Iowa staff community since 2007, serving the Dean’s Office in CLAS. This year, she joins Staff Council as a function representative for Administration; Audit, Compliance, Legal & Risk, contributing her expertise as a member of both the Awards Committee and the Committee on Committees.
For Becca, serving on Staff Council is an opportunity to broaden her impact beyond the CLAS. She shares: “I am looking forward to building connections with staff outside the college I work for. I am excited about the volunteer opportunities available across campus and in the Iowa City community. Go Hawks!”
Outside of work, Becca enjoys watching everything WNBA and spending time cooking and baking. Her favorite local spot? Anywhere that serves Diet Coke, with the Bread Garden being a frequent favorite—whether for a meal, a quick grocery stop, or a relaxing happy hour.
If there were a song that played every time she walked into a room, it would change depending on which Taylor Swift era she’s currently embracing.
