Staff Councilors, family, and friends are invited to join the Community Outreach Committee at Kent Park for our Fall Highway Cleanup.
The Adopt-a-Highway program helps reduce litter along highways, enhance the environment, beautify roadsides, and build community support for anti-litter and highway beautification programs. Caring for roadsides not only makes them more attractive to the traveling public but also improves our environment.
Help us keep our environment clean and safe, and have some fun too!
Details:
- Parking available on site, carpooling is also available.
- Family and friends are always welcome! Please add them to your sign-up link.
- Our section of divided highway is close to the entrance for the park; US Highway 6 from 240.0 to 242.0 mile markers.
- We will divide our group in two, covering both sides/directions of the highway at the same time.
- Safety vests, trash bags, gloves, and hand-sanitizer will be provided.
- Please dress according to the weather and remember we will be in ditches -- close-toed shoes, long pants, and hats are strongly recommended.
