Breno Silvestrini Rodrigues
Breno Rodrigues currently serves as an Investigator in the Office of Civil Rights Compliance, promoting a welcoming campus environment by ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and university policies and regulations through education, training, and impartial investigations. Originally from Brazil, he practiced law for over a decade, founding his own firm and later serving as in-house counsel for one of Brazil’s largest educational organizations.
In 2016, Breno relocated to Iowa to pursue advanced legal studies, earning both an LL.M. and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law. During his time at Iowa Law, he served as a member of the Iowa Student Bar Association Faculty and Student Committee on Discipline. He is also a licensed attorney in the United States, where he continued to expand his legal expertise through roles in different law firms.
As a Staff Council representative, Breno is deeply committed to fostering a transparent, collaborative, and supportive workplace culture. He is passionate about building stronger connections among staff, faculty, and administration to create a more united and empowering campus community.
