Molly Collins
I was born and raised in Iowa City where our family was heavily connected to Iowa City, the University and UIHC. My father had a business downtown, my stepfather was a faculty member in CLAS and my mother worked for UIHC. I followed my husband to North Carolina and attended UNC for Public Health Education but returned to Iowa and the core values of the Midwest to complete my education in business and landed at the University in 2007.
I started my career in the College of Medicine and continued my journey in the College of Nursing where I develop continuing education for nurses and supervise a team where our primary goal is to support faculty. I am heavily involved in advocacy internally as well as representing the College of Nursing in UISC for the last 5 years in a variety of roles and committees.
All my life I have been a glue person and have made a life of connecting people to resources and advocating for others. I thrive in these roles personally and professionally. I am committed to advocating for others, bettering myself and putting forth my best to grow and lead in any environment I am a part of. The University has been a place for me to utilize my skills and I look forward to developing my leadership abilities to support the mission and vision of the CON and University.
