National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, held one week before Thanksgiving each year, serves as a time for people across the country to come together to drive more attention towards the issues of poverty, hunger, and homelessness. Shelter House started off the week with a Soup Luncheon at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church on Monday, November 17.
Staff councilors helped set up, tear down, and serve food and drinks during the luncheon. Learn more about National Hunger & Homelessness Week here, https://shelterhouseiowa.org/nhhaw/.
