Monday, November 17
11:00am-1:00pm
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (123 E Market Street, Iowa City)
National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, held one week before Thanksgiving each year, serves as a time for people across the country to come together to drive more attention towards the issues of poverty, hunger, and homelessness. Each year, Shelter House kicks this week off by holding a Soup Luncheon at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
We are looking for some volunteers that day to help set up, tear down, and serve food and drinks during the luncheon. More details are included on the sign-up page for the event. All volunteers eat for free!
