The Office of Sustainability hosted student, staff, faculty, and community volunteers on April 24 & 25 at the Miyawaki Forest Tree Planting 2.0. Volunteers worked together planting a wide variety of native tree saplings and shrubs on the southeast side of the College of Public Health building using the Miyawaki Method, a technique for densely planting native trees to create bio-diverse and self-sustaining forests.  Learn more at https://sustainability.uiowa.edu/miyawaki-forest.
