Staff volunteers are needed to help administer make-up exams and accommodated testing during finals week, May 11–15, 2026, at the Overflow Test Center in University Capitol Centre. Volunteers must complete FERPA training, which can be done online: https://registrar.uiowa.edu/faculty-and-staff-ferpa-training. Sign up and share with others in your area to volunteer during finals week.

Some of the proctoring duties and responsibilities volunteers assisted with included:

• Preparing Exams and Rooms - set up exam materials and testing spaces to create an organized and secure environment.
• Student Check-In/Check-Out - familiarize students with exam guidelines, ensuring they understand what materials are allowed during testing. Seat students upon check-in and record seat numbers. Assist with check-out and collect completed exams.
• Exam Proctoring - observe students completing exams to ensure compliance with restrictions and allotted time; report any concerns to administrators.
• Scanning/Uploading/Filing Exams - Scan, upload, and file completed paper exams.
