Biography

Jyoti Arora is an Assistant Research Scientist at the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. Originally from New Delhi, India, she moved to Iowa City to pursue her PhD in Human Toxicology, focusing on the development of anti-cancer monoclonal antibody regimens. Since 2021, she has worked within the Weiner and Kolesar laboratories on a collaborative project investigating how macrophage-generated vesicles can enhance anti-tumor responses in ovarian cancer. 

She is passionate about contributing to a supportive and collaborative environment at the University. Having been actively involved in student organizations during her graduate studies, she values building community and is always happy to connect with fellow researchers to share ideas or experiences. 

Outside of work, she enjoys playing pickleball, watching movies, and staying active through hiking and camping.
