Tara Jennerjohn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Iowa and a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.  

Since joining the University of Iowa in 2015, she has built a career spanning Risk Management and Purchasing, where she currently serves as a Purchasing Contracts Manager. In this role, she specializes in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contractual agreements, developing templates, and supporting compliance with institutional policies. She also provides training and guidance to campus partners and purchasing staff, helping departments navigate contracting processes and improve operational efficiency. 

As the Staff Council Function Representative for Business and Finance, she leverages her combined business and legal expertise to promote efficient processes and assist in developing a more informed, productive, and collaborative workplace. 

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends, as well as her dog, Beauregard.
