Heather Johnson
Heather Johnson serves as an Administrative Services Specialist at the State Hygienic Laboratory, where she provides executive support to the Associate Directors of the Diagnostic & Clinical and Environmental Health Divisions, interim support to the Laboratory Director, and operational support to the Laboratory Support Services Division. She currently serves as Chair of the SHL Staff Council and is an active member of the Laboratory’s Events Planning Committee.
Heather is a proud United States Navy veteran who served during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. In addition to her work at SHL, she is currently serving her third term as Mayor of Oxford and as a Commission Member for the Johnson County Emergency Management Agency.
Heather and her husband are proud parents of three children and share their home with two dogs and two cats. Outside of her professional and public service roles, she enjoys traveling and has had the opportunity to visit Italy, Turkey, Spain, Greece, and Dubai. She is also an enthusiastic Disney fan and enjoys annual family trips to Walt Disney World, as well as spending time in Emerald Isle, NC for cherished multi-generational family vacations.
