Our October Staff Council meeting will feature presentations focused on 2027 benefits, preventing burnout and supporting well-being, and sustainability across the University of Iowa. Below is a preview of the presenters and topics that will be shared during the meeting.

HR Update: Open Enrollment for 2027 Benefits

Presenter: Rebecca Olson, Senior Director, University Benefits • Benefits Health & Productivity

Rebecca Olson will provide an update on Open Enrollment for 2027 benefits, including important information and resources for University of Iowa employees as they prepare for the upcoming enrollment period.

Preventing Burnout & Supporting Well-Being

Presenter: Eean Crawford, Associate Professor • Management & Entrepreneurship

Eean Crawford will discuss burnout and workplace well-being, including factors that can contribute to burnout and strategies for supporting well-being in the workplace.

Building a Healthy Campus: Office of Sustainability

Presenter: Stratis Giannakouros, Director, Office of Sustainability & Environment • CLAS Administration

Stratis Giannakouros will highlight sustainability efforts across the University of Iowa and share how the Office of Sustainability & Environment is working to support a healthy and sustainable campus community.
