Ben Beeson
Ben Beeson, MA, LMFT, is a Senior Behavioral Health Clinician with the Medical Student Counseling Center at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, where he provides counseling services to medical students and works with individuals, couples, and families.
Ben earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Iowa, a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Northern Illinois University, and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Mercy University. Before becoming a therapist, he taught printmaking and worked at a community art center, experiences that continue to shape his appreciation for creativity, learning, and community.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys gardening, printmaking, reading, learning languages, spending time outdoors, and spending time with his wife and their two cats. He values lifelong learning, creativity, and opportunities to connect with others both professionally and personally.
