Bridget Toomey, MS, has been with University of Iowa Health Care since 2009.  During this time, Toomey has worked on various teams within Patient Financial Services, worked in the Project Management Office, and is now the Assistant Director in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has a passion for cancer advocacy, serving as an advocate leader with the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance and as the Iowa District 2 lead for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. Toomey sits on several advisory boards for the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center and is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology Coding and Reimbursement subcommittee. Toomey is a member of the AAPC National Advisory Board where she works to advance careers the business side of healthcare through education and awareness. Toomey received her Master of Science in healthcare management from Johns Hopkins University. In her free time, she loves to hike, hang with her cats, and complete home renovation projects.
