Josey Bathke is the Director of Risk Management, Insurance and Loss prevention at the University of Iowa. In this role she works to minimize the risk of financial loss to the University through identification and analysis of risk. Previously she was an Associate Counsel in the Office of General Counsel and the Director of Employee and Labor Relations in University Human Resources. Josey has also been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Tippie College of Business for almost twenty years teaching various classes including Nonprofit Organizational Effectiveness with former UI President Sandy Boyd, Business Ethics and Employment Law. 

Josey’s hobbies include visiting as many MLB stadiums as possible, spending time with her nieces and nephews and rescuing chihuahuas. 

On Staff Council Josey serves as the Bylaws Committee Chair and on the Executive Committee as an elected at-large member.
