The UISC Community Outreach Committee 4th Annual Food Drive took place in March to support the Food Pantry@Iowa. All month long, Staff Council collected donations around campus and with thanks to the generosity of our University community, we were able to present the Food Pantry with 762 POUNDS of donations.
Some most needed items we collected:
- Dry Goods: rice / grains, beans / spices
- Quick Meals: ramen / mac & cheese / “helper meals” / canned meats
- Baking Items: flour / sugar / baking soda / vanilla / brown sugar / cooking oils
- Multicultural Goods: rice noodles / fufu flour / palm oil / specialty spices
- Hygiene & Toiletries: soap / shampoo / conditioner / toothpaste /toothbrushes / toilet paper / Kleenex / period products / diapers / wipes / hand sanitizer
