Staff Council is an elected body that represents over 9300 non-bargaining professional and scientific staff members (P&S) and merit supervisory exempt/confidential staff members (MSE/C). Staff Council is composed of 60 councilors with each councilor representing either a job function or one or more organizations in the University departmental hierarchy. The council is led by the Executive committee consisting of five officers and four at-large members. Additionally, Kellie Digmann from University HR serves the council as our administrative services coordinator.

Who's My Staff Council Representative?

Every non-bargaining staff of the University of Iowa is represented by at least two members of Staff Council - one representative based on the organization they are employed within and one or more representatives based on their job function. We encourage you to contact your representatives if you have any questions, feedback or concerns.
